Hootenanny for Many Mansions is a Howdy good time for all

Hollywood Storage Raises $2500 for Many Mansions

 

 

Thousand Oaks, CA (July 19, 2006) The Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks was the hootin' location of the western-themed Round-up and community yard sale held on Saturday, July 15, 2006. The newly renovated location was doused with bails of hay and volunteers in cowboy hats and reds shirts shouting "Howdy Partner" during the event to benefit Many Mansions.

When 8 a.m. hit, it was official! The community yard sale had begun as community residents rented 80 storage units at $20 each, raising a total of $2500 to aid Many Mansions. Supporters brought in treasures from home to sell, including furniture, antiques, and studio lighting. There was even a celebrity estate sell by Flattery McGrady Concepts & Design.

There were pony rides, games, classic cars, square dancers, gymnasts', martial arts, and local bands singing country music. Even if you just came for the food, you were pleased to see Starbucks and Maui Wowie blend icy drinks to quench your thirst in the heat of the sun. The Elks BBQ Wagon was smokin', feeding the masses with BBQ Hotdog's, Beef Sandwiches, chicken and ribs. It was fun for the whole family!

Proceeds from the Hollywood Storage Round-up will benefit Many Mansions' general operations which supports all areas of our affordable housing and life-service programs.

Many Mansions would like to especially thank Aileen Stein and the Hollywood Storage family for all of their hard work in making this event a success!
