Today, it seems more and more important that for-profit businesses participate in activities that are socially responsible and that help to strengthen the communities in which they and their workforce reside. The challenge becomes how to build community while also strengthening corporate teams’ cohesiveness and creativity. Many Mansions can show organizations how to do both by participating in team/group activities that support Many Mansions’ Bowls of Hope Project.
Since 1979, Many Mansions—a California nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation—has been providing well-managed affordable housing and life-enriching services to low-income residents of Ventura County. Our work makes a difference each day in the lives of our 1,300 residents, 300 of whom are children. We are also a leading provider of permanent, supportive housing for the mentally and physically disabled in our community.
As a local employer, we invite corporate support for families most in need in our community in a specific way—by hosting a bowl-painting party for members of an organization’s workforce. Staff will get the opportunity to enhance team strength and harness creative abilities while also supporting a local affordable-housing service provider. These bowl-painting parties also benefit the Bowls of Hope Project and the residents of Many Mansions.
